| Introduction | Drosophila that have mutations in their MAGOH gene produce progeny with defects in germplasm assembly and germline development. MAGOH, the human homolog of Drosophila mago nashi, is necessary for embryo development. In mammals, mRNA expression is not limited to the germ plasm, but is expressed ubiquitously in adult tissues and is induced by serum stimulation of quiescent fibroblast. |
