| Introduction | MAPK3 is a part of the MAP kinase family which is recognized as extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), that function in a signaling cascade that controls various cellular procedures such as proliferation, differentiation, and cell cycle progression in reaction to a variety of extracellular signals. MAPK3 is activated by upstream kinases, resulting in its translocation to the nucleus where it phosphorylates nuclear targets. |
