SGK1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 393 amino acids (60-431 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 44.5kDa.SGK1 is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Serum-and glucocorticoid-regulated kinase (SGK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase and a member of the “AGC” subfamily, which includes protein kinases A, G, and C. The SGK1 protein has an imperative role in activating specific potassium, sodium and chloride channels, sµggesting a participation in the regulation of processes such as cell survival, neuronal excitability, and renal sodium excretion. SGK1 is activated in vitro by PDK-1 (3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase-1) and in vivo in reaction to signals which activate phosphatidylinositol (PI) 3-kinase.
SGK1 protein solution (0.25mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 30% glycerol, 0.2M NaCl, 2mM DTT and 0.1mM PMSF.
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
